Chatting with your coaching assistant
Coaching assistant bots are for open-ended conversation. Unlike interview bots, they do not follow a fixed script and do not generate a plan. Use them whenever you want a thinking partner.
When to use a coaching assistant
- To work through a specific challenge you are facing right now
- To prepare for an important conversation, meeting, or presentation
- To reflect on a recent experience
- To explore a decision you are trying to make
Starting a conversation
Click the coaching assistant card on your Dashboard. A new conversation starts immediately.
Context the AI has about you
The AI assistant may have access to relevant documents your coach has made available. For example, notes from previous sessions or your development plan. This helps it give you more relevant responses.
Resuming a conversation
Conversations are saved automatically. You can pick up any previous chat from the History section.
Saving a conversation
You can save a summary of a conversation to your Documents using the Save button. Saved conversations may be visible to your coach (your coach can see all your conversations in their dashboard). And these summaries will become contents for future conversations with your AI.
Brainstorm mode: Keeping a conversation private by default
Conversations by default start in Brainstorm mode. Started in that mode are not visible to your coach and are not injected into future AI sessions as context. This is useful for exploratory thinking you do not want to carry forward.
Ending a conversation
There is nothing to close. Simply navigate away. The conversation is saved and will be in your History if you need it.
