Taking an AI-powered interview

An interview bot is a structured AI conversation that gathers information about your situation, goals, and challenges. At the end, it automatically generates a personal development plan tailored to your answers.

Before you start

  • Set aside 10 of uninterrupted time (or more if the instructions suggest it). The quality of your plan depends on the depth of your answers.
  • Find somewhere quiet. This is your space to reflect honestly.
  • There are no right or wrong answers.

Starting the interview

Click the interview bot card on your Dashboard. The bot will greet you and begin asking questions.

During the interview

Respond in your own words. The AI will ask follow-up questions based on what you share. You do not need to write in a particular format, write naturally.

Tips for better responses:

  • Give concrete examples where you can ("In my last role, I found it difficult to…")
  • Be honest about challenges, not just strengths
  • Take a moment to think before answering rather than rushing

Pausing and resuming

You can close the browser tab at any time. Your conversation is saved automatically. When you return, click the same bot card on your Dashboard (or go to History) and choose Resume.

Note: Once your plan has been generated, the interview is complete and cannot be resumed. You will see a green Plan saved ✓ badge in your History.

Your plan

When the interview is complete, the AI generates your plan in the background. This takes up to 5 minutes. You will receive an email notification when it is ready (if email notifications are enabled in your Settings).

Your plan will appear:

  • On your Dashboard under "Your plan"
  • In the History section, linked to the interview conversation
  • In your Documents

Regulated industry notice

If you selected healthcare, financial services, or legal as your industry during onboarding, you will see a notice before the interview. Please read it. Do not enter sensitive regulated data (medical records, financial account details, privileged legal information) in any conversation.
